4. E-Waste Management: DO'S and DON'TS

As a responsible corporate citizen, Coway India strictly adheres to the E-Waste (Management) Rules. Proper handling and disposal of E-Waste is crucial to prevent environmental damage and health hazards.

 DO'S (What you should do):
  • Do always drop off your used electronic products, defective components (such as pumps, PCBs, and UV lamps), and batteries at our authorized Coway E-Waste collection centers or hand them over to authorized Coway service technicians.
  • Do keep the product in an isolated area after it becomes non-functional or unrepairable to prevent accidental breakage.
  • Do separate the packaging materials (corrugated box, EPS foam, plastic bags) according to their material type and dispose of them through authorized recyclers as per the Plastic Waste Management Rules.
  • Do consult the digital user manual or contact our Toll-Free customer care for guidance on proper end-of-life product disposal.
 DON'TS (What you should not do):
  • Do not dismantle the electronic product or its internal components yourself.
  • Do not dispose of the product or electronic parts in regular household garbage bins or municipal waste bins. Look for the ‘Crossed-out Wheeled Bin’ sign.
  • Do not sell or give E-waste to the informal sector, unauthorized local scrap dealers (Kabaadiwalas), or rag pickers.
  • Do not throw electronic parts into nature, open lands, or water bodies, as they contain hazardous substances that can cause severe soil and water pollution.
